With summer rapidly approaching and temperatures rising, flooding is a topic often overlooked in the high-desert climate of Washoe County. However, this is the exact time of year that the Washoe County Community Services Department is reminding residents to prepare for localized seasonal flooding
“Your house may be at risk of flooding and more if the DAYBREAK development of 4,700 homes gets approved. In addition to flooding they will also be disturbing the soil contaminated with methyl mercury and arsenic and potentially increase traffic in our area.”
Join HVHA for this community meeting on Thursday, October 18th. Truckee River Flood Management will provide information on the November Ballot Question concerning the funding of flood control projects.
