Our guests this month are:

Washoe County Manager Eric Brown and

Washoe County Senior Planner Eric Young
Envision Washoe 2040 project manager

Misters Brown and Young will offer a presentation on the EnvisionWashoe2040 project.  Mr. Young has been working with an Arizona consultant to update Washoe County Area Plans, which have not been updated for 15 years. Come and learn what you need to know about this initiative to update all Washoe County Plans.

The Area Plans are part of the Development Code. As the Washoe County Development Code and Area Plans must conform to the Truckee Meadows Regional Plan, all Area Plans must be updated. Including, of course, Washoe County’s Master Plan and Development Code.  EnvisionWashoe2040 will undoubtedly impact planning in Hidden Valley and Southeast Truckee Meadows.

Our voices should be part of this important conversation. So, HVHA is asking all members and Hidden Valley residents to familiarize themselves with the current area plan(s) and then, respond to EnvisionWashoe2040 – Survey #2 on the EnvisionWashoe2040.org website, and please do attend this important Association meeting on August 18th.

Important!  Please mark your calendar and Join Us!

Our community has always been concerned with protecting the quality of life we enjoy and the Association is a great way to come together to achieve that purpose. We stay involved in local government, boards and activities that may impact our neighborhood and quality of life. We always appreciate your attendance and input. What better investment of $25.00 per year than giving you a voice in all things affecting our community?

If you’d like to lend your skills on the Board or offer advice and assistance in moving HVHA forward, please plan to attend.

We’ll see you there!
