Public Reminded to Stay Out of SouthEast Connector Construction Site

Reno/Sparks SouthEast Connector – RTC Project posted this Press Release on January 30, 2018

RTC SouthEast Connector Project Update Jan. 30

The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) has issued a press release reminding the pubic to not trespass on the project site during construction.

“As crews get closer to completing the SouthEast Connector, we know people are excited to use the new road and multi-use path, but we’re asking for the public’s patience so we can safely complete the last phase of the construction process,” said Brian Stewart, RTC Director of Engineering.

All project-site entrances are clearly marked and monitored by security cameras 24-hours a day. If theft or vandalism occurs at the project site, a trespasser’s camera captured image could be associated with that theft or vandalism. In addition, the RTC is reminding people not to fly drones over the project site without approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the project team.
