Reno/Sparks SouthEast Connector – RTC Project posted this new item on Sept. 15, 2017
Construction Activities at Rosewood Lakes Golf Course
Large poles were installed this week along Pembroke Drive at Rosewood Lakes Golf Course to accommodate new high-net fencing for the driving range. The high-net fencing will be installed next week as well as completion of the new golf course entrance sign. The team is replacing these items as they were removed for excavating operations at the driving range. The driving range was rebuilt to provide additional flood water storage as well as fix a long-standing drainage issue.
Upcoming: Construction of the South Meadows/Veterans Parkway Intersection
The project team will begin to reconstruct the South Meadows Parkway and Veterans Parkway intersection to supplement the SouthEast Connector linkage by the end of the month. To expedite the work, the intersection will be closed for two separate 12-hour days.
The first closure will occur Saturday, September 30 beginning at 7:00 a.m. The team will be milling and adding temporary striping. The second closure is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, October 7 for minor utility work and paving. Remaining work on the intersection will be finished under traffic controlled lane closures and traffic switches. The closures are planned to occur on Saturdays to not interfere with school schedules.
Detours for both Saturday closures will be in place. Standard traffic will detour to Double Diamond Parkway and Carat Drive. Truck traffic will detour to Double R Boulevard and Steamboat Parkway. Additional information along with a detour map is coming soon and will be available on the project website.
