RTC SouthEast Connector Project Update May 24

Reno/Sparks SouthEast Connector – RTC Project posted this new item on May 24, 2017

Early morning work in Rosewood Lakes Golf Course to occur this Friday [May 26] beginning at 5 a.m.

Night time and early morning work on the project is possible between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. as temperatures increase for the summer season. Several structures in Segments 2 and 3 (from Alexander Lake Rd. to Pembroke Dr.) are scheduled to receive concrete pours in the coming months. Night work and early morning work is needed for lower ambient air temperatures, higher humidity and calmer winds that allow slower concrete curing resulting in a better product.

The project team is taking several precautions to minimize any noise and light impacts to nearby residents. Equipment working in the area will have White Noise Backup Alarms to muffle the sound, and light plants will be setup facing away from homes.

Ear protection is available by calling the project hotline at 775-789-9832.
