Reno/Sparks SouthEast Connector – RTC Project posted this new item on August 30, 2017

Night Work at Mira Loma Bridge

Granite Construction will be pouring half of the southbound deck of the Mira Loma Bridge next Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Work will begin at 9 p.m. September 5 and go through 8 a.m. September 6. The second half of the bridge deck will be poured the night of September 12 beginning at 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. September 13.

Due to the summer heat, night work/early morning work is needed for lower ambient air temperatures, higher humidity and calmer winds that allow slower concrete curing resulting in a better product. The project team will be monitoring noise levels; however, residents closest to the bridge can expect to hear some noise. Earplugs are available by calling the project hotline at 775-789-9832.

WHAT:  Night work at Mira Loma Bridge near Heron’s Landing

WHEN:  Pour 1 – September 5 at 9 p.m.   Pour 2 – September 12 at 9 p.m.

Rebar is placed on the southbound deck of the Mira Loma Bridge in preparation for concrete pours.
