We have finally been able to get concrete information on the Daybreak Appeal to the Truckee Meadows Regional Governing Board! The meeting will be held online: JUNE 11TH AT 4:00 pm. Attend from home, via Zoom or YouTube.
The Daybreak project has been appealed by multiple people to the Truckee Meadows Regional Governing Board (RGB) because of its dangerous location.
Daybreak is going to be back at Reno City Council on Wednesday October 23rd. This dangerous project will eliminate Steamboat Creek flood storage areas and it appears that they mislead the Council on their mercury testing,
It is not over yet! There are actually 3 more steps before final approval of the Daybreak Development project. Please read below and see an example of a letter you could send to the 4 council members that voted for the project.
“Your house may be at risk of flooding and more if the DAYBREAK development of 4,700 homes gets approved. In addition to flooding they will also be disturbing the soil contaminated with methyl mercury and arsenic and potentially increase traffic in our area.”
