The Annual Winter Clothing Drive for needy and homeless in Reno and Sparks will continue to receive clothing through February 2020. All donations will be taken to The Good Shepherd Clothing Closet at 4th and Record Streets and will be given to those in need, by way of a voucher system.
Any of the following items will be greatly appreciated, in any size – infant to adult:
- Coats, scarves, underwear (clean/gently used), tee-shirts, socks, sweatshirts, sweatpants, jeans, hats, gloves, shoes, boots, etc. The most needed items are men’s clothes, footwear, and blankets/sleeping bags.
- Also, bedding and towels, personal hygiene items (shampoo, soap, deodorant, razors, hair brushes, combs, toothpaste, brushes, and feminine hygiene products); hotel/cosmetic samples are great.
- Homeless people also need a place to keep personal items so backpacks, large purses, tote/sports bags, suitcases, briefcases can be used.
Please bring items to 5340 Cypress Point Drive (Hidden Valley Drive south from Mira Loma, first left on Carnoustie and right on Cypress Point) and drop off on my front porch from November 2019 through February 2020. My phone number is 775-857-1310 for any questions.
The Hidden Valley community has been very generous in the past and I thank you in advance for your kindness and donations.
